Today got off to a bit of a rocky start, but all in all, I'd say it went well. I was planing on waking up at 6, and having breakfast at 7, but I ended up sleeping in until about 9:15. I got a shower, ate breakfast, did some chores, and watched part of a movie. When I went to go fix my snack, I realized that we didn't have everything I needed, so I walked to the grocery store (about 1/2 a mile there and back). When I came home, I ate my snack, prepared my lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner to take to work, and watched the rest of my movie before heading to work. I didn't really have an opportunity to do any exercise besides the walk to the grocery store, but I think it's okay since this first week is a practice. I'm trying to work out my schedule and stuff. I exceeded my drinking water goal (64 oz - I actually had about 80 oz, maybe more - I lost count of how many bottles I drank), and discovered that sweet potato chips made in the microwave are delicious! I'll definitely need to use less salt and pepper next time though! On the bright side, I think the salty chips were a big part of why I was able to exceed my drinking water goal! ^_^ Anyway, here's what I had to eat today. The times right next to the meal are when I was planing to eat, but because of waking up late, and work, I had to adjust. The times I actually ate each meal are in parentheses ().
Breakfast 7:00am (9:30am)
- 2 scrambled eggs
- 1/4 cup shredded cheese
- 1 slice whole weat toast w/ peanut butter
- 1 cup grapes
Snack 1 9:15 am (11:45am)
- 1 oz sliced turkey
- 1 cup strawberries
Lunch 11:30 pm (1:30pm)
- 5 oz grilled chicken
- 2 cups spinach
- 1/2 cup strawberries
- lemon & lime juice (used instead of dressing)
Snack 2 2:15 pm (3:45pm)
- 1/4 cup cashews
- 1 string cheese
Dinner 5:30pm (6:30pm)
- 5 oz grilled chicken
- 1 cup broccoli
- 1 sweet potato (chips - made w/ extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper)
TREAT - GIRL SCOUT COOKIES 10:00pm
- 1 Peanut Butter Patty
- 1 Caramel Delight
- 2 Thin Mints
I added the treat on there today because I feel like I did really well and wanted to reward myself. This is not going to be an all the time thing, and will probably only be for this week, or if I do REALLY REALLY well with working out or Derby practice.
I think that's it for tonight! I'm going to go watch The Boondock's Saints, eat my cookies, and go to bed! ^_^
