hour 23 recap

Apr 10, 2011 04:17

"Scientific research was the lifeblood of civilization; it was the one investment that could be guaranteed to pay dividends for eternity..."
--Arthur C. Clarke, Earthlight

How is it already the final hour??

I won't be finishing Earthlight. This past hour has been slow going, thanks to the tiny, cramped type used in this book and frequent interruptions from my mother (who is known to frequent the wee hours, and is overjoyed to have someone to talk to now) and my kitten (same deal). Still, I'm never sorry to have started a new Arthur C.

I'll be doing the end-of-event meme in forty-five minutes, when the final bell sounds and we are released to our beds.
