instant catchphrase
Okay, so eHell is my favorite online forum these days. It's an etiquette forum; you can ask the other posters for etiquette advice or you can tell horror stories about the etiquettely-challenged.
I was reading a thread today on naughty things children have done, and this story cracked me up so I have to share it:
"My younger sister had 3 kids in rapid succession, so they were all about the same age when she was trying to teach them to be gentle with animals (esp. kitties, they can sniff out a kitty a mile away). Sister's in-laws have several cats, and sister would take a little hand and gently brush the kitty with it, telling the kid "Be gentle. Loooooooove the kitty, looooooove the kitty."
I didn't see what had happened, but one day while visiting, we heard sister scolding one of the kids "No! You can't love the kitty with a hammer in your hand!"
