(no subject)
Another long, long day. J managed to sleep all night without turning his light out and playing, but I must be so used to getting up at that ungodly hour that I couldn't get back to sleep. I went down to the study with my laptop and did some internet, then crawled back into bed around 6. D, only half awake, snuggled up to me. It was lovely :-)
Helped get kids up and ready. Got J up and ready. Packed my book for book group in my bag as I hadn't finished yet and was running out of time (The Year of the Hare - thanks, happytune) with the intention of finishing it during my lunch break.
Work was ok. My period started this morning and I was feeling really sore (back. hips, legs) but got the ordering done in record time and took a rather early lunch break. The afternoon was better, particularly after I located some painkillers. JC takes his granddaughters swimming on Thursdays, so once he'd gone I did a coffee run for the three of us that were left (the coffee at the cafe I sell cake to is amazing). I managed to get the shelves stocked and to tidy the store cupboard where the cases of drinks are kept and to order the stock we need for Easter - despite the fact that I won't be here for that.
Raced home via the grocery store to pick up nibbles and wine for book group (I was hosting). Got home in time to hang out a bit with D and the kids and help get J ready for bed. Tidied the living room (much easier and quicker than kitchen/dining room) in time for the arrival of the group. The meeting went pretty well considering I did it a bit on the fly. It also ended earlier than usual (maybe they could see I was exhausted?) but we all enjoyed it. A shower and now bed.
