and if they don't believe me now

will they ever believe me?  Hear and attend and listen as I keep my promise give you porn!  And by porn I, of course, mean Torchwood crossovers.  Naturally.  Porn is just an excellent place to start.  Mostly I've found that when something is labeled as a Torchwood crossover, what it really means is Jack/somebody awesome that I'd love to read.  With one notable exception.  Of course, I'm attempting to provide variety as much as anything else, but if you want more Jack crossoverness, it wouldn't be hard to find.

Erogatio,
misspamela tw/Rome Jack/Antony.  So, as promised, starting with the porn (summary: Antony and Jack have sex.  A lot.)  There's really not much plot, besides the fact that this is awesome.  Ninth Doctor makes an appearance, which is really just strawberries on top, yes?

Paradise Naan
legionseagle tw/Discworld gen If you haven't read any of Terry Pratchett and his amazing Discworld series, you are so seriously missing out on an extremely witty series.  It started out as a parody of fantasy and has starting satiring, well, everything.  And more than that, it manages to take all of that irreverence and shake it up and actually create something original and interesting.  So, if you haven't, go pick up Guards! Guards and Pyramids (they're two of the most awesome) immediately, or at least the first one.  To get this story you have to know one character from the series, and her name is lady Sybill Vimes.  She's a dragon breeder; they're not the majestic and large dragons, they're small and tend to explode.  And they all have awesome names like Lord Mountjoy Winterforth IV, I think you can see what's being parodied there.  So when Myfanwy gets sick and Jack needs help, Sibyll is only person suited for the job.  Another Discworld character appears, but he's really self-explanatory.

she can drive just as fast as me but she stops at all the lights,
minervacat, tw/SG1 Jack/Vala  Because only Vala can pull of lines like "It really isn't a gun in your pocket. You're just happy to see me."  And also: Five years in a straight line from where Jack was in the universe, he might not even be in Milliways, which was the problem of getting mixed up with a Time Lord and his amazing flying phone box, but five years from then in some topsy-turvy line, he'd be there.

We shouldn't keep meeting like this,
xwingace, tw/SG1, gen (well, it's Jack though)  Colonel O'Neill and Jack keep meeting through time.  You know, I think one of the things I like best about these Jack crosses is how it shows how totally twisted Jack's interpersonal relationships can get.  I mean, when the first time they meet him is not the first time for him, it can really mess with your levels of familiarity, for starters.  And I love that Jack can charm his way out of situations.

The Honey Trap,
basingstoke, tw/Highlander Jack/Duncan McLeod (of the clan McLeod)  I have a great deal of love for this story, some of it nostalgic, some of it firmly rooted in the present (they're definitely trees!  sorry, mixing fic).  I love that of course Jack would celebrate the armistice by having sex with Duncan.  I love that it isn't all easily explained away.  Often crossovers are used to patch everything up and fix every single hole, to take away the mystery.  But reality isn't neat or tidy, and so I'm pleased that the rents in the universe cannot be healed through the power of immortal sex.  Also?  Highlander.  That show was so awesomely bad.

Career Highlights,
burntcopper, tw/various gen  I had to include on total and overwhelming crossover.  It's Jack's personnel reviews from 1914-present.  And now I really want the fic where the Watchers from Highlander and the Watcher's council from Buffy have to do some kind of liaison thing.  I mean, how do you really tell some kinds of demons and vampires from immortals?  This cries out for writing.

So there's a dose crossovery goodness that should satisfy any cravings that might arise.

recs, torchwood
