I'm also 100% convinced the Doctor pushed that droid. "one of us was lying about our programming" gee, I wonder who, since we've _seen_ the Doctor kill in the past (yes, Ten was the example that came to my mind, too).
In hindsight that whole bit seems an even more obvious callback to Ten and his fight with the Sycorax: "No second chances, I'm that kind of man."
I wonder if they intend to have him confess at some point, for a nice O_O moment for whomever he's talking to at that moment, or if they'll keep it ambiguous for the sake of deniability.
