1.) Oh man, it feels so good to have a weekend off. Especially after working nine days straight. Nine stress-filled, maddening days as we integrate a new system that's supposed to make things better, more efficient. So far, not so much ( Read more... )

OMG, I remember that now about the retconning! Damn, good catch, I would not have remembered on my own. Well, that's disappointing. I tend to think that SPN does pretty well on continuity, usually.

I love the bat cave too, but am also sure it won't last. I wish it would though. Now that they don't have Bobby's house as their safe haven anymore, it would be cool for them to have this new HQ. I bet someone has written a really good future fic about Dean and Sam as Men of Letters, living in the warehouse 10 or 20 years on. I would like to read that so much.

Sigh. I should be on tumblr. And twitter. Bleh, I just do not have time to spend learning how to navigate new stuff.

I love Modcloth SO MUCH. I have bought a few things through them. Their clothes are not made for the climate here - they have few cold weather clothes or shoes that would stand up to a Seattle winter - but I so love their styles. All of those dresses you like are fab. Surely you could buy just one?

I love the way you write about scent. Srsly, all I can ever think to say is "It smells pretty. Like a flower." I just don't have words to describe smells at all.

I know, Leaf on the Wind is so disappointing! Sorry that it didn't work for you either.

I will probably buy Ravenclaw & then I'll send you my sample. It is so good! :) I also have Catwoman and Cantina Band samples that I'll gladly send along, as they do not suit me at all. But I love all of the HP houses, and Glorious Purpose, Mewling Quim & Poisonous Dream, plus Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. Which is a lot! It's confusing, usually I wear one or two scents (often one for Spring/Summer and one for Fall/Winter) and now I have, like, 10 scents to choose from each morning. Ravenclaw and Mewling Quim seem to be emerging as the favorites, but I still love the rest of them too.

To be fair, someone on tumblr caught it. I had no recollection of it at the time I was watching the episode, although the bit about John having issues with his father had struck me as new information. The odd thing is that Jeremy Carver wrote "In The Beginning," so you'd think, now that he's the showrunner, he'd have been aware of that retcon. Ah well. Could be worse.

I'll have to keep my eye out for that sort of fic. I haven't been reading much lately. However, I did read a nice Wincesty coda to "Everybody Hates Hitler" set in the bat cave: here.

Tumblr sucks time away. So if you don't have the time to give, I don't think I'd recommend it. I haven't really made any new connections there either. It's a lot of fun, but it's not like LJ used to be.

I'm glad to hear you've had good experiences with ModCloth, even if their stuff isn't ideal for colder weather. I know I would be pairing all of those dresses with a sweater, even in the summer. For me, I think getting any one of them would be a waste of money -- just end up hanging in my closet. But it's nice to window shop. :)

That's okay. Thank you so much for sharing all of those scents. It's too bad Leaf on the Wind couldn't be better... for poor Wash's sake!

That is really kind of you to offer. :) I still don't know what possessed me to leave out Ravenclaw. What a shoddy HP fan I am! I used to think BPAL was addictive. But now with all these fannish fragrances on Etsy, my dresser has become overrun. It's an indecisive person's nightmare. *g*
