I hate you, "To Be Continued." I hate you very much indeed.
My head is still spinning.
That was fucking intense.
A lot of it was like fanfic, actually.
The flashbacks were especially fanfic-y. Oh, Sam.
Anna Milton? Milton? Oh, Sera, I love you for that.
Hospital therapist? Um, schizophrenia rarely happens overnight. It can, but don't go around suggesting it's a common occurrence.
Wow. Way to find the loophole. Ruby's host wasn't officially announced dead, so Sam would be spared the necrophilia. But the spirit had left the building, so all issues of consent were wiped off the map. Clever. A little too clever maybe. But I'll take it. 'Cause. Sex. Omg, Jared's ARMS. And the grabbing! And lifting her onto his lap! And oh. My. Fuck.
Hee. I've done a 180. Went from starting the season thinking, "Oh, they won't go there." Now it's, "Oh, they went there! Well... okay!" Honestly, I had serious issues with the thought of Sam/Ruby up until rather recently. Mostly, my love of Dean/Castiel helped me change my mind. Now, I realize Dean/Castiel isn't canon, but I figure if I'm okay with Dean banging an angel whose vessel may or may not be able to consent (as we currently, in canon, have no idea what's going on with the vessel's spirit) then I can be okay with Sam/Ruby. And I am. Although it scares me to... scares me for Sammy. I still don't trust Ruby. I like her character, and I (somewhat) believe she has Sam's best interest in mind. But that doesn't mean she won't unintentionally lead him down the wrong path either.
I really wanted to see how it all started though. Not just Sam's failed attempts at exorcism, but how he went from doing nothing psychic/special kid-esque for over a year (two years? I'm blanking) to exorcising demons. Because all he'd done before was have visions/dreams and one moment of kinetic breaking-out-of-the-closet. So... no baby steps from there to making demons vomit themselves out of their hosts?
Sam telling Dean that what Ruby said to him [Sam] was pretty much exactly what Dean would've said? That's subtext for Wincest, right? Right? Yes. That's what I thought too.
Spent most of the episode waiting for Castiel to show up, so I was not surprised at all when the angels blew the door in. (If only they were blowing other things. Make love, not war!) Does that guy know how to make an entrance or what? Misha's eyes seemed especially blue and intense tonight.
Oh, and the boys patching themselves up at the motel... Sam sewing himself and Dean being all needy with the dislocated shoulder... that was hot.
Also, jumping through the stained glass window was such a Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid thing to do. I loved it ever so much.
I loved the entire episode ever so much. I gotta watch it again. Like now.
More sex next week?! There will be skin! And blood! And milkshakes! No? Well, why not milkshakes, Show, why not?
Uggghhh. Can we just skip Friday through Wednesday, please?
ETA: Shannon reminded me of something I'd forgotten (what with being struck stupid by the sex scene). In fact, it's one of the reasons this ep. felt so fanfic-like to me: hustling! An actual, depicted, not-merely-alluded-to hustling scene! With both boys! It was cut short, but still. *squee*
ETA: Everyone's starting the holiday exchange stuff already? Aw, man. *is not ready for this stuff* Wasn't it just summer, like, last week??
