One Team. One City. One Dream.

That game took a lot out of me last night. It was nice to see the Eagles make some big plays though! I am very curious about what this means for McNabb. I'm also curious as to who's going to open their big mouths about it. As of this posting, 73% of Philly.com readers say go with Feeley.

I'll find out the answer to the first part in person--Tim scored four tickets to the Seahawks game! So I will be at The Linc two weekends in a row. We will be driving up early on Sunday morning, rather than staying overnight before, as we are for the Giants game. So, my father was a prophet when he asked if I was going to three games this year.

I started hat #71 last night. I am a hat making machine. I should get a lot done tonight, hopefully, though I do want to get to bed much earlier than I usually do.

On the advocacy front, consider contacting your representatives about expanding the Simplified Summer Food Program. Through the SFSP, summer programs can provide up to two healthy meals or snacks per day, five days per week to children and teenagers, 18 years and younger, at approved central sites in low-income areas. Meals and snacks are also available to persons with disabilities, over age 18, who participate in school programs for people who are mentally or physically disabled. Sponsors, such as food banks, schools, public agencies, camps, and other nonprofit sponsors, receive reimbursement payments for the cost of food and documented administrative costs to support the operation of the program. All sponsors receive training from their state agency before starting the program to learn how to plan, operate, and monitor a successful food service program.

HIV in DC is 'a modern epidemic.' One in 20 city residents is thought to have HIV and 1 in 50 residents to have AIDS, the advanced manifestation of the virus . . . The District's AIDS rate is the worst of any city in the country, nearly twice the rate in New York and more than four times the incidence in Detroit, and it has been climbing faster than that of many jurisdictions.
