This fall semester of music schoolosity should be called the Semester of the Courtyard. In the warmer weeks starting school we were blessed with the ball, the four-square ball. Students were free to exercise with all their friends in the convenience of their own courtyard.
The next beautiful chapter started when a hawk decided to spend some quality time with music students and an unsuspecting squirrel. The students were brought quality entertainment by this hawk tearing the dead squirrel to threads then eating it's head whole probably to spit out the bones a little later.
Today was the final installment of this enlightening saga. The music fraternity has sold breakfast foods on Thursdays in the Music Practice Building lounge for years now and they have finally decided to get a new "shack" from which to sell their goods. Today we were given the opportunity to pay a dollar to take a bat and "whack the shack". Professors even joined in and students were amazed at how they used their doctoral degrees to analyse the situation to make the best whack possible.
None of these things would have been possible if it weren't for the Music School Courtyard.
Happy Semester of the Courtyard everyone!!
