Updates!
So Saturday was James' surprise b-day party! I can't believe I kept the secret for a whole month...I really suck at keeping secrets. And he says he never caught on! How about that :-) We got a grill and did burgers, hot dogs and hot sausage, plus there were all sorts of sides and desserts...and lots of alcohol. Played with Apples to Apples (I need to get that game) but didn't hook up the Wii yet (got James the Wii and Wii Fit for his b-day) or open up Cranium. We had a ton of different people show up (17 total) - my family, his family, his childhood friends, my childhood friends, my college friends...it was really cool to see such a random group get along so well. Thanks to all who came!
Kristen is now here for the summer (she arrived end of June) and Chel was here this weekend too...so it was an awesome weekend of sleep-deprived girly-ness...we didn't go to bed til at least 6 every night. Chel will be back next month for her b-day and we'll repeat the process again :-P
I'm headed to Baltimore this Wed-Fri for a conference...James arranged to have his next trip to Salt Lake City at the same time because he's been out there Tues to Thurs for the past 2 weeks, and was gonna have to do it again next week. At least this way we can BOTH be here next week for once!
Otakon in less than a month...I need to get costumes made!
