I am not a Survivor, I am a Warrior!

***So i am reading but some business boiled up and here it is.***

I am not a survivor.
Survivor makes it sound like I just got out by the skin of my teeth; makes it sound like I am a victor of some sort that should be praise while my sisters and brothers go through the same thing. Same thing
Everyday the mentality is the same.
I am a warrior
I battle everyday with what has happened
and it hasn't just happened once with a man, it has happened twice with a man
and you'd think that would be enough to make me hate them
but I have a father that is the most loving human being on the face of the planet and he, my friends, is the reason I know all men are not the same.
It hasn't just happened with men. It has happened with Women.
Once
And that was enough for me to never be able to be completely intimate with a women.
Grew up being told that women were my allies
But it is all the mentality. The mentality of our society making it ok to rape another and we don't think about it. WE don't think about what we portray to our children is ok.
We watch our movies that show rape and because it is on film we remove ourselves that it actually happens in society. WE forget
That is how strongly incorrect our society is
We forget.
We forget that when rape happens to another
when your still breathing in the end
It doesn't mean that there isn't a battle everyday.
I  am not a survivor
I am a Warrior.
