I am an educated viewer. I understand that certain shows are more expensive to produce than others and that television is, in the end, a business. What I cannot conscience, from any business, is double talk, broken contracts (even verbal ones), and intentional runarounds.
well said! i didn't realize that eureka was back (yes, ever since you made me watch, i've been hooked, and i caught up), leave alone that syfy was pulling yet another disdainful move. it's one thing to be concerned about the bottom line, it's another to just be scornful of your core audience.
Yep, Eureka S4.5 started mid-Julyish. SyFy had already ordered S5 but at SDCC offered only mild support for a S6 - a supposed 6 episode order. Then last Monday, while the show was airing, the news was leaked that the S6 order had been withdrawn entirely. The cast found out through twitter. Sigh.
