Been in Georgia since Wednesday around 4pmish. It's been fun for the most part. My pregnant sister has been treating her husband pretty badly. We kind of figured she would, but it's surprising to the degree that she has done it. My parents and I agree that it probably has nothing to do with the pregnancy and more to do with the fact that it's just the way it is. We'll see how long it lasts.
I'm glad that the goal of the trip was to get some time away for myself and just recollect myself. I've taken a lot of time to myself, trying to get my head back together, it's been somewhat productive. The hard part has been watching my parents, and both of my sisters with their significant others being so darn happy. I'm not exactly happy right now, I'm still a lot of sad, and reeling quite a bit. I've put on a really brave face while down there, but I'm struggling to hold it all together.
I'm excited to get back to Richmond tomorrow for no particular reason. I have nobody to come home to and won't be seeing my friends until Thursday night, but it'll just be nice to get everything back to normal for me. Today is one of these days where my confidence is absolute brimming, I still can't help to wonder why sometimes, but really at this point, why bother?
All in all, I'm anxious to be back in Richmond, if only to get back to work. Whenever things are sucking for me, work always keeps me on track, and I'm excited for that. I'll never be so happy to get back to work as I am on Monday.
For Thanksgiving dinner, we went around the table with one thing we were thankful for, might as well share mine:
"I'm thankful that when everything falls apart, I always have my friends and family to help put me back together."
