Yeah, there's definitely a history. "if you know her, and I do" I doubt anything will come from it but fic, but I'm intrigued.

But I'm oddly confused about where all this love is coming from.

Yeah, it seemed quite a bit like he was saying "I still love you." I mean-- what?

This show has a really hard time with gently changing relationships. It's either "OH HOW I LOVE YOU BFF" or "I SHALL TEAR YOUR FACE OFF AND WEAR IT". :/

Lmao, when did they want to rip each other's faces off? I mean, Dean and Sam being bitches to Cas was weird and uncalled for, but I don't think they ever hated him.

XD Just hyperbole on my part. All I mean is that the writers have a problem with, well, pacing. In general. With character relationships and their plot lines, they can't really pace it to make it feel more flowing and less... choppy.
