I talked to two people this week about how I am envious of your talent. I would love to go into the arts, but I don't have a gift like you. So I am a social science major. What the hell kind of a job am I supposed to get with social science?
If you go to a four year school, any major will do at this point. The only real money is in trade school or if you pursue a graduate degree. My friend got her B.F.A. in Modern Dance and now she is getting her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. What you do for your graduate degree does not have to be related to your undergrad degree. Undergrad is for doing what interests you. You love music, don't give it up.
There are so many scholarships for music and arts, more than almost any other major (nursing is the only one I can think of with more). As long as you have good relationships with professors, you can get recommendation letters for your scholarships (those are why I couldn't apply to many). When you turn 24, you are considered independent financially and only your income goes on financial aid calculations.
What else can you see yourself doing? Really. I love listening to you sing... go to school in music, PLEASE. You gave my friend getting his Ph.D in music that you met tips, and shit, even he's going into another field (economics, investment) after this. He just went through with music because he likes it.
