Characters: Jonathan Crane, Open
Where: The Complex
When: During the Lockdown and Halloween week.
Summary: Crane puts a bowl of poisoned candy out to share with everyone in the Complex. Enjoy!
Warnings: Fff, I dunno. Possible violence, and fear.
It was a combination of the upcoming holiday of Halloween and sheer boredom that made Crane decide to do what he did. That and the usual whisperings of the Scarecrow that were almost always present in the back of his mind now.
And so he told himself that what he was doing could prove interesting, could be used to further his ever-ongoing pursuit of controlling fear in all its forms, in any and every way possible. When the Complex had gone into lock-down, he'd restocked his store of necessary supplies for the creation of fear toxin. In the past he had created the air-borne spray, the powdered form, and, for a brief time, he had experimented with a liquid form of his toxin. The liquid form was what he used now, injecting it into sealed packages of whipped chocolate bars, the needle piercing the wrapper under the fold where no one, except someone with extreme paranoia, perhaps, would notice it.
That task finished, Jonathan then placed the poisoned candy in a bowl. He positioned a hand-lettered sign against the back of the inside of the bowl, propping it upright with the weight of the candy. Neatly written in curled lettering on the sign were the simple words, "Happy Halloween!". So carefully were the letters formed that they could have been written by a woman- a simple, but, he hoped, effective trick on his part.
With that arranged, Crane slipped a gun into his pocket, should he come across anything untoward during his short trip through the hallways. Then, grabbing the bowl of candy and a stool to set it on, he made his way to the place he had selected to place it, depositing it there. The stool wasn't too high, or too low- the perfect height for adults to easily stoop down and take a piece, and not too high as to be inaccessible to the kiddies.
His intent fulfilled, Crane quickly returned to his room, closing and locking the door behind him.
You're going to get caught, you know. They won't let you get away with this.
"It doesn't matter." The words were spoken softly, barely audible.
(ooc: You guys do with this whatever you want! If a kid or adult wants to eat the candy, feel free- once they ingest it, a sense of unease will soon arrive, followed quickly by the usual intense fear and hallucinations that air-borne fear toxin causes. The more candy your character eats, the more intensely negative effect it'll have on them. If any of you heroes wants to come bust down Crane's door and capture him, I really don't care. Let's just pleaaaaase keep him alive, alright? 8D) .
