Newly back in the inhabited areas, Toph had quickly discovered a new friend in the form of the dinosaur that'd been chasing them. Once she'd fed it by herding a bunch of animals its way, it was quite docile. And seemed to like her, maybe? Well, it wasn't trying to eat her at least.
However, she was faced with a dilemma with the announcement from the computer systems. Where to put it in the Complex? Wait, there was a gym. That'd do. Even though she definitely didn't like the place.
Laughing, she tried to herd it that way. It wouldn't be boring at least.
In no way did the wild haired youth now standing directly behind Toph know where the dinosaur come from, nor did he know why it wasn't attacking them, but since it wasn't, he realized it probably wasn't much of a threat to him or anyone else, hopefully not this girl.
Zechs was content inside his personal room within the Complex when the red flashing light on the corner of his PDA informed him something vital was coming in through the Grid. Though a little annoyed at being interrupted he set down the novel he was reading through and picked up the device. What he saw there startled him a little.
What is this now...? he wondered to himself.
What was the Computer up to now? It had never pulled anything like this before. A little disconcerted the soldier tried to see if he could query the Computer about what was going on--but the frequency seemed to be shut off from the Grid. Hmmm.
If that wasn't going to work then Zechs would just have to find his answers elsewhere. He walked out into the hallway and began to walk...wherever he thought he might said answers. While he was at it, he looked for someone else to question along the way.
Relena sighed, an expression of slight worry upon her features as she followed a few citizens into the Complex. What was going on? It sounded like an emergency. She hoped everything were alright.
She passed a glance over her shoulder to see if she could spot anyone she recognized, but was drawn to a flash of bright red in front of her, glimpses of silver and platinum catching her eye.
"Zechs!" She called out, breaking into a run to catch up with him, her hair loose and flying behind her. She sifted around a few people, hurrying to catch up with him as she called out to him once more to get his attention.
Zechs tilted his head as he heard what he thought sounded like his name being called. When he heard it again he was certain--and he turned around to see who it was. He should have guessed that it was her, should have recognized that it was her voice calling to him. But there was a small crowd now, just a little one.
Helena had been wandering through out the intertwining cities late at night, as she was prone to do when she was avoiding her "apartment" in the complex. She had just recently met some knew people, some who had inspired her to keep pushing on, giving her hope, and reasons to keep pushing forward even though she might end up doing it alone

One minute he's watching a half pint 'Earth Bender' wrangle up some terrible lizards around the country side, the next he's back in New York, watching a half pint wrangle a terrible lizard... Wonderful.
He threw his hands up and turned away, heading back to some corner of the bar where he could get a stiff drink, and head back to his apartment to grab a shower, some food, and some sleep.
Passing by a young woman, he offered a small wave in greeting. "Hey."
Helena tilted her head to the side as the young man began to pass her. He looked... familiar?
He waved at her and said hello but she was sure it was just one of those "I'm passing you and so I won't be an arse and not say hi" kind of waves but she was sure she had seen him before.
"Hullo."
As he walked by she turned to the side a bit and called out, "Do I know you?". It was true Helena looked a bit different but she wasn't so different that anyone who had met in the past year wouldn't recognize her. Maybe she had a little less dirt on her face and her hair was a bit longer but she hadn't completely changed in the past year... had she?
The young man paused, turning back to the girl, examining her. "Maybe. Might have been a long time though." From the accent, she was European, and he'd been there, globetrotting, really.
"I've been around." Duo smirked a bit, "Then again, y'think by now all of us would know each other. I'm Duo."
Dante fell into the cushioned booth wordlessly after a long day of fruitless hunting...again. He was having no luck out there. Well, at least he'd found a paying customer finally for all the work he was doing. Some poor sap whose home was located in the Shadowlands taking over New York city. Now he was back in the Complex, laying full length on a booth inside the lounge room.
It was just as he closed his eyes that the commotion began. The lights flickered out and came back on dimmed, and very faintly in the distance somewhere the half-devil could vaguely hear the sound of the teleporters operating with their soft hum. His eyes snapped open and he glanced about in suspicion. "What the hell is with all the commotion!?" he yelled out to no one in particular.
Several seconds ago he was rock salting some badass banshee in a parking lot outside of a shopping center in the early evening, somewhere in New York half covered in shadows and all sorts of nasties. His head was pounding while he thought he still heard the ghost's shrilly screams...and anything made of glass shattering. This included all the windows on his Impala--and it wasn't the first time for something like that to happen.
One moment later, Dean realized the change in lighting, and the electric hums of the wall lamps flickering. He was standing there in one of the halls of the main complex, the Remington in one hand half loaded with salt rounds.
...The fuck? This hasn't happened before, at least not to him

Dante snorted when he heard the reply being yelled from out in the hallway. He nearly laid back out on the booth cushion and forced himself into a light, alert sleep but with a scowl and a soft growl he managed to pry himself away from the seat to go find the mysterious voice man. For whatever reason.
He grabbed the exiting doorway with one hand and swung around so that he was leaning outside into the hallway with all his weight held in that one arm. He glanced down the hallway and spotted the person in question. He raised an eyebrow at the gun but quirked an amused smirk with a peculiar glint in his eyes to match.
"Get caught with your pants down?" he asked the other in an amused tone, nodding his head to indicate the gun.
Dean turned to see the white haired man in the red overcoat. He glared and lowered his shotgun. Who's this jackass think he is? "Something like that," he said in a guarded tone. He didn't know the guy, and judging from the appearance, he wasn't sure he wanted to. "...I'm guessing you're the guy who yelled first."
She would have been content with wandering through, without any interruption. Just when she was starting to finally venture out, for that matter, managing to find something other than a uniform, and with one more weapon. Means of how she even got the second weapon next to Kalina Ann was left to be unsaid. Being that, Mary was wordlessly walking back to where she settled, finally calm and able to feel a little more relaxed, but

"So where'd you get the dinosaur?"

"It followed me home."
Toph could totally take care of it, too. Not when she was inside, but it didn't need to know that.

He waited for her. "Relena, are you all right?"

"Yes... I'm fine. I'm just concerned and confused. What seems to be going on here?"
She glanced around them at the small crowd of people heading into the complex and bit her lip.
