Thread: Just a Small Trip (Open)

Characters: Jonathan Crane
Where: the Library
When: I dunno, a couple of days or so after the blackout, I guess.
Summary: Crane's settled in a bit, figured out how to secure the necessary ingredients for his toxin (ah, gotta love that handy computer), but, golly, this place is boring. So what does Crane do? Goes to the library, of course!
Warnings: Uh, Crane's a jerk?

The way Crane had arrived here, he thought, had been quite an arrival. It was less the actual event of being brought to this place (although that, in itself, had been interesting enough for his tastes) than the people he had run into soon after being dumped here. A man who, the last Crane had heard, was dead, disfigured, who hated him for what Crane had dedicated his life to, hated him for what Crane had done to Rachel. The other man one who no one in their right mind would ever want to encounter. Some, of course, would argue that Jonathan himself wasn't in his right mind, and he supposed that argument had solid roots- but he certainly wasn't psychotic. He wasn't like the Mad Hatters, the Jokers of the world.

Stable-minded or not, Crane knew he was certainly superior to many of those who spoke against him, against his actions; to those who imprisoned him, who kept him from his research. Such people, he had found, were unable to understand his mindset, the necessity of the actions he takes.

Regardless, those past oppressors mattered less, now that he was here, in this place. The Complex. The Ring. Whatever you wanted to call it. After the blackout, he had settled himself in somewhat, securing his apartment, learning more about what this place was, and so on. He had also managed to obtain the necessary supplies for his toxin- something that he had been worried he wouldn't be able to do.

But now that that was all done, he'd found that there wasn't a lot to do in this place. In a word, it was boring. He could always, of course, attempt the 'teleportation' that the Joker had told them about, but Crane didn't think that that would be an advisable course of action until he had made more fear toxin. He, of course, had some with him, along with his mask, but it would be incredibly dim-witted of him to use any of it at this time unless it was absolutely necessary.

For now, though, he had some free time on his hands. Plenty of it, in fact. Jonathan was going to make the extra toxin tonight, but for now- nothing. Instead of sitting around twiddling his thumbs, he had decided to take a small trip to the library. Although he doubted that he could learn anything from any books in it, he was sure he could find something entertaining to read, at the very least.
