Battle North of Luxembourg: May 14th (Action Squence, part 1)

Jul 30, 2008 22:12

The demons have located us! We thought we had managed to isolate another on its own, but it was a trap! They wanted to get us away from camp, away from any weapons or provisions we had!

Luckily, Joey kept his gun just in case. I have never been much liked the modern weapon, but I was suddenly very thankful my firend had the foresight to bring one! ( Read more... )

~Flying demon battle~

Since I know that land is it's weakness, I have to make sure that I don't let it grap me and take off with me again before I put up the seal, so that's the first thing I'm gonna do when it's in the right place. I have to duck and dogde, roll and slide to keep away from its claws. After a minute or two of this acrobatic display, I found an opening.

Success! The seal is now up and it's go time! It's a lot faster than the ogre that's for sure, but it's not as agile on land. Using one of the broken branches that the ogre left behind on its way down, I used the splintered end like a spear tip. I had my whip in the other hand and my objective was to take out it's eyes. It can't fight what it can't see. The trouble is, it has a long reach with those wings of his. (I think it's a he, 'cuz I don't see any tits.)

Good thing the seal gives me renewed vitality each time it goes up, but the down side of it is I start to loose my mind the longer I stay in it. I can already feel the seal's grip on my humanity as we speak.

Anyway, I got the thing right where I want it and it tried to force me off my feet by batting his wings and created a gust with enough force to knock down a horse. Too bad I'm too low to the ground for it to knock down. That's when I decided that once it started this, I rolled unerneath, grabbed it's feet with my whip and knocked it down. I used the crude spear and gouged out it's eyes.

Needless to say, it screamed and loud. With my heightened hearing, it brought me to my knees. I held my head in pain as my nose bled. It hurt and bad! That's when the full affect of the rage kicked in. My eyes shot open, and I straddled the creature's neck and pulled hard to shut it up. I snapped it's neck as it tried to buck me off when it stood up. It fell to the ground in a heap and the seal disappeared.

Now the pain is intense. I had to fight two more in this battle royale and I'm in no mood for games! The black creature was next and I'm ready for him.

~Shadow creature battle~

I was thinking that since this creature didn't look too imposing that it would be a peice of cake, I was seriously wrong. It was fast and I mean FAST! It changes shape and can use the shadows around it to make itself bigger! It could even grow spikes and such out of the shadows! The hard part is hurting it.

Alright, this is where the whip and boomarang will really have to come into play. Not much of a choice there. The spear is out of the question since it's stuck in the flying demons's head, or what's left of it.

My head is throbbing now and the seal came up the moment it entered my little cirle. Yuck, demon bodies and I hadn't had the chance to move yet! Man you would think that the stupid things would at least learned that if they ate me, I would kill them in their gullet!

I feel better now since the seal is up and my rage is back. The trouble is, like I said before, the creature isn't easy to hit. It stood there looking at me and it took the form of the cat that I killed earlier this week. Yeah, I don't like cats much now. Nasty things. It started growling and circling me as it was sizing me up. Yeah, bring it on kitty, I'm ready for ya.

It sprung at me with such force that I used my whip as I sidestepped to hit it. It looked like it was unaffected, but I decided to keep sidestepping and hitting it as much as I could. Then it went into buzz saw mode and that if I stood there, I would be sliced Varon. Nope, ain't gonna happen!

That's when the acrobatics came into play. Good thing I learned some tumbling and flips from Amelda otherwise it would make my life a whole lot shorter!

Once it came out of buzz saw mode, that's when I hit it with my whip. This battle went on like this for about 3 minutes then when it started to turn red, I ran behind a tree. Good thing I did too because it went kamikaze on me! The DAMNED THINK BLEW UP!! I think it was a suicide bomber in a past life. Now where is the fun in that?!

The seal disappeared and now all that's left is the flat-faced, wingless bat! Yay. . . yeah that was sarcasm.

~Batface demon battle~

Since I didn't see anything, and I was on guard, I can't cool down now otherwise I would be too sore to move, so instead, I ran through the woods to get the hell out of Dodge.

I kept running until I realized that I was nearing the cliff and I had to stop. I looked around and saw nothing. . . . and it was dark. SHIT! I can't stand the dark.

Panic set in. My heart was racing because of fear. I needed to get closer to light. The moment I headed back towards the place where I had landed, that's when the thing attacked me. I was knocked off my feet and landed face first in the dirt. Alright, this is it. My last battle and a chance to get some rest! The seal went up! No doubt about it, I needed the boost and as faithful as the sunrise, that's exactly what I got!

Standing up wasn't an option and the thing was heavy and I could tell that it started to bite me! RAGE!!!

I took one of the firelogs from the campfire and slammed it right in the face! It was enough to knock it off my back so now I was able to stand up and face the thing. I felt the blood running down my back, but there was no time to stop! I had to end it now!

As the demon was screaming, I took this time to gather my whip and cracked it a few times. Since the things did't seem affected by normal weapons, I took it one step further. I tied took the end of my whip and placed it in the fire, cinging and catching the end on fire. It doens't seem to like it very much and it seems to be the only thing that could hurt it.

Yeah, I'm gonna love killing this one. I cracked the whip again and this time, it did what it was intended to do. With a smile on my face, I continued my onslught until it was no longer standing.

It hissed and spat at me, cussing me out in some weird language and then it tried to attack me again. By now it's a cinging, screaming, bloody stinking mess. I'm already sore, pissed and ready to find my mates again and this thing isn't going to stop me either. I did the next best thing. Since the seal is up, I had to kill it. This battle lasted me longer than any other and I want it over with!

I beat the thing to a bloddy pulp with the fire log! It was already dead after the first three whacks but I kept hitting it until the seal disappeared and even then, I still kept hitting it to make sure it was dead.

I screamed out into the night, "Adolphous, if this is the best you have ta off'a, you can tell th' rest ta gao haome! You ain't wo'th spit!" I spat on the ground as I said it and walked away. I'm still made as hornet and I'm ready to take on any more blokes that stand in my way, with or without a weapon!

BRING IT ON!!

*after about twenty minutes of fuming and stewing thinking that there would be another demon in the wings waiting, decides that he's satisfied with his work and takes off in a steady jog* Well, legs, looks loike we gotta a lotta graound ta cov'a. Let's get gaoin'. *focused and determined to find his friends, pushing the fear of the dark as he laughs* The da'k ain't nothin'... I'm scarrie'a than anything that th' da'k hoides! *starts to climb down the cliff face ignoring his pain and unaware how deep his wounds really are since he is unable to see them in the dark*

*After forty minutes of jogging, he picked up Atem's scent and smirks when he sees the now dead imp impalled to the tree by a small dagger, picks the dagger out of the tree as the imp falls limp onto the ground and slides the dagger into his boot next to his survival knife that he refuses to kill with, (it takes away the fun) and sets to gather what was left of their belongings.*

*After gathering what he could scavange from their camp, he was able to pick up the scent of blood and takes off in a sprint* Tha's Joey's blood! *running in the dark, at breakneck speed towards his friend*

*Before Vaorn can get very far, several demons pass by him, without giving him more than a second glance. They were ordered not to harm him or Joey anymore. Behind them are Odette and Beowulf. Atem's coat is slung on Odette's back. Beowulf is being ridden by the ghost of a man wearing a tux and old fedora, which covers his eyes. His face is shadowed, and he cannot be recgnized.*

*to Varon* Saddle up, kid! Your horse'll take you to your friends a whole lot faster!

*stops his running, looks at the wolves in confusion, smirks* Yeah, tha's roight! Keep runnin'! I'll kick all of you' sorry asses! *laughs, then starts his running again until he sees the horses approaching with a ghost on the back of Beowulf then stops right in front of Varon* Hey! Thanks, mate! *with a smile, he saddles up on Odette and looks at Atem's coat, relizes that something is wrong and sneers* Take me to 'im! Yah! *snaps the reins sharply, causing Odette to rear and take off*
