Rage
I'm tired.
Tired of feeling pulled in multiple directions. Tired of being told what I must do by people I otherwise care about.
Tired of the way politics bring about the ABSOLUTE WORST in humanity.
It was with these thoughts in mind that I held back the bile rising in my throat and held onto the rage building within me that I strode into the polls yesterday. Entering the polling area, I found it remarkable just how palpably I could feel the HATE in the air. I drank it up as I entered the booth and let all the vitriol these previous few weeks putting up with campaign ads, unspoken divided loyalties between family, friends and loved ones have built within me flow as I typed the following sentence in as my write-in vote for the presidency:
"Satan. Let's not kid ourselves anymore, folks."
There, I said it. Now everybody shove your campaign pins up your ass and leave me the fuck alone.
