So I'm here in the Outback Steakhouse in the Orlando Airport. Why? I've been at a tradeshow for work and I'm supposed to be going home. In 15 minutes. I'm not. I'm not because apparently once a plane is late it gets worse throughout the day. If the plane starts it's day early in the morning, by the time nightfall comes, it's really late. My plane now leaves at 925pm, arriving in LA somewhere around midnight.

I learned some important things this week though. I learned that Orlando is green and wet and has toll roads, just like Houston. I learned that the sales department really does work for a living, it's not all booze and food. I learned that the VP of Sales does have a fat expense account though, and won't hesitate to drop a nice chunk of change on dinner for his crew and some clients. I also learned that a laptop is a necessity when you travel alot for business.

I enjoyed this trip, but I'm glad I'm going home. Ilene has been sick, and I've discovered I don't like leaving her alone when she's not feeling good.

Of course, as whacked out and lame as my state has been voting (proposition wise) recently I'm not entirely sure home will be a great place for much longer...
