I lose more vaporizers that way

I've been running my vaporizer pretty much every night to fight off the general stuffiness that plagues me this time of year.  I stopped the last few nights because it started making horrible noises and waking me up in the morning early.  Checked it today, and the heating element is badly corroded.  Looks like I'll have to replace it.  I've been running it constantly, so didn't have a chance to properly clean it.

I see mostly cool-mist humidifiers in the stores, it takes a bit of looking to get the steam kind I'm used to.  I took a look online to see what the practical difference is.  Turns out the cold ones are not only more likely to get infested with bacteria, but they also spread minerals in the water around the room, so you have to use distilled water.

Now I've got a clogged throat and I need to get a new vaporizer tomorrow, but otherwise I'm fine.  Feeling burned out from the week, but a good late sleep on Saturday morning usually helps with that.
