Eric and Allysa dropped by on Monday night-- turns out they had been traveling quite a bit and wanted to drop by and possibly stay the night. Of course, I was all for it-- we have two spare rooms in our house, and I'd missed seeing them. Also, any reason to be with other people is a plus. Especially people who enjoy your company and vice versa and whom you haven't seen for far too long.
We had a fun few days; they were supposed to leave yesterday but we were watching Lost for quite some time.
(Eric, the nefarious Spoiler King, had seen most of S1 and I wanted to smack him every time he opened his mouth because he has this awful "habit" of accidentally spoiling things. I will never forgive him for ruining Goblet of Fire. [IN THE GOBLET OF FIYAH HARREH]). I was glad for this because we got to spend a lot more time and just be like Grampa George and Gramma Josephine all in the bed and whatnot. (We moved from the dining room table to their room to my room, since mine is the bigger bed and it's so comfortable~).
And ohhh, Pixel. Now it was her turn to experience what it was like to have someone else in her territory. You see, they brought their cat Romeo... And hahahaha... She hissed at him at first, so much so that he actually backed away... slowly... Snerk. Today, however, the tables were turned and he took over the Pixel Hut (... I realize I still haven't shown you all what that like. And yes. Pixel Hut) and hissed at her instead. Erk.
But it was lovely...
I got to spend time with people, and it was relaxing for all of us for once.
We've all been so incredibly worried and freaked out about the real world... My goodness.
I took them to Satchel's yesterday as well as Ichiban Sushi and even Red Mango (it's like Mochi... but not. ... Oh, Mochi...) and actually ran into L.A. That was interesting (I think at this point we'd start yelling, "COINCIDENCE!" or, well, not so much us, just Eric. Oh, Eric) especially because L.A., Annie, and I had stayed up conference calling on Skype a few nights ago almost til 5 AM. (5 AM Crew indeed). We're all convinced that we'll run into each other a year from now, completely randomly. You see, it was a year ago that they'd first met, at my graduation, sooo. (PS. We still all have never gone back to Conestoga's. It's wonderful. And far away).
But I'm alone again and need to get down to business or something. Hrrm.
It's just not a terribly good thing when I'm left alone to my thoughts...
(That just sounds really awful...).
I'm glad I got to spend time with Eric and Allysa, we all needed it and turned out it was the most we'd all enjoyed ourselves since graduating, I think. But they've had to move around a lot in the past few weeks and have been driving everywhere so I was glad I could be a source of enjoyment and respite.
It was a loverly change of pace.
PS. Allysa got red bean boba because of me. Awwww.
PPS. I should have put this in here earlier, but Eric = Filipino family friend for and from forever, and Allysa = his girlfriend (whom we're convinced he'll marry. Awwww. Erk).
