Thursday...
So, yeah, yesterday was an interesting day. It didn't start off too good though as I managed to sleep through my first class. Not the brightest move I could have made but oh well...just can't do it again I suppose.
I had a job interview last night. It was at Salem Lutheran Church in Moline, IL as Director of Music. If I get this position I would primarily be the choral musician. I would direct the adult Chancel Choir and get some youth choirs going. They say there is also strong interst in that. I think that will be great fun, working with a kids choir. I would also assist the pastor with selection of weekly hymns, coordinate other service music with the rest of the music staff (a bell choir director and the organist), and head up summer special music. I came away from the interview with a very good feeling. I went before the personnel committee, a total of five people. They seemed to be very pleased with the answers I gave to the questions they asked. They said they might bring me in for another interview sometime soon so the rest of the committee could meet me and talk to me. Two people were not there last night. I just want to hear something, either way, soon.
That was pretty much my Thursday. Happy St Patty's Day to you all!!!
