Oh summer, where did you go?
I indeed have taken an extraordinary amount of time to write another entry. However, it seems like summer vanished right before my eyes. Granted, with travels to and from Ohio and Michigan, it doesn't take much for time to fly by fast!
As most probably know by now, I did indeed move down to Ohio. I felt bad for not really being able to do anything before moving down here, but it was such a flurry of activity because I basically had just enough time to leave the Barnes and Noble store in Grandville, move my plethora of boxes out of Standale, and be down to Ohio to start work at the Barnes and Noble here all within the span of a week. But I'll probably be back to Michigan soon enough to get my bed and other pieces of furniture. So hopefully I can see everyone then!
Work at the new Pickerington store has been quite interesting! I've gotten at least 30 hours a week since starting there. And what's interesting is that even though the layout is totally different, the Grandville store and Pickerington store are pretty similar! If any of my former Grandville cohorts are reading this, they actually let you pretty much do returns at this store! I'm definitely not a big fan of doing a shelving shift though that requires you to start work at 7 am. Blegh! All in all, it was a pretty smooth transition to work there. Although, I've received plenty of flack for being a U of M fan, especially after their 34-32 loss to a 1-AA team, lol. There's enough Scarlet and Grey down here to make one vom, Michiganders, lol.
I should probably wrap this up, but I at least wanted to post a little update to let everyone know that I am alive and well. And again, I feel bad GVSUers for not being able to do a going away type party, but quite literally I did not have enough time. Plus it seemed like everyone was pretty busy with Shakespeare, work, etc. anyway :-) But I do hope to come back soon, and also come see one of the Shakespeare shows!
On a side note, I can't believe that I turn 23 already this coming Sunday, September 9th. It seemed like just yesterday I had that 21st b-day party to remember! Oh and if anyone really wants this or not, I dunno, but my new mailing address is:
