Movie Review: After Earth
Science fiction!! Wheeee!
Dad and I went to go see After Earth, the new Will Smith movie. (Apparently it was also an M. Night Shamalan movie, but whatevs. No one cares about him anymore, except to make fun of his name.) I literally just got back. so I thought I'd give you an update, in case you wanted to spend a couple bucks to see a sci fi action flick. (The answer is: sure? Why not?)
[Thoughts.]Thoughts:
-Will Smith is, and will always remain, a kick-ass actor. He really carried this movie. He played a hard-ass admiral/captain/something guy. and manages to be stoic and hardass while still showing a ton of depth.
-Jaden on the other hand wasn't all that great. I mean he was okay. Not terrible. He's only, what, 15, or something like that? But he definitely wasn't that great.
-It was pretty predicable. It was a father/son story, and a coming of age story, and that's about it. But the graphics were cool!!
Overall, I would say don't spent $10 to go see it. But if you can go to a matinee, or get it from Red Box, go for it!
