Reasons why you should watch Battlestar Galactica:
- Everyone on the ship (including the old men) are really freaking pretty.
- Men/women in flight suits/ military uniforms. Yummy.
- Kara Thrace. Probably the hottest person ever created. She's a fighter pilot too. GUH.
- The soundtrack is created by Bear McCreary, and is therefor automatically gorgeous.
- Adama/Roslin. Can we ship older people? HELL YES WE CAN. They are the cutest damn couple ON this show, and they're foxy as hell. (Hellooooo Edward James Olmos.)
- Kara/Lee. I shipped this one like mad, all the way up to the last episode. It had its ups, it's downs, it's disappointments, it's "seriously guys, what the fuck?", but it is also totally adorable. I will ship this until forever.
- THERE ARE ROBOTS. And robots who look like humans. And robots shaped like ships.
- It's an honest to goodness EXCELLENT science fiction series. Yes, it has explosions, and cool special effects, and all the new things required for science fiction to make it flashy, but it also has well developed characters, and political intrigue, and a plot like that leaves you wanting more.
- My fabulous husband got me into the show, and his good taste alone is a reason to watch
- It has a conclusion! A definitive ending. Four seasons of excellent television, and a finale that had me sobbing like a baby. Soooo great.
Watch it. It's awesome.
