Hello journal, which I've ignored forever.

This past month has sucked serious monkey balls.
I am feeling better now, so now more icky pneumonia, which is a definite plus!
Grandpa is now dead. (Yeah, it sounds so blunt when I put it like that, but he died about 2 weeks ago, and I've been floating in a funeral haze so there ya go.)

The funeral was Friday. It was beautiful. We all sang "His Eyes are on the Sparrow", which Grandpa sang all the time. I made it through the funeral without crying, until we got to that part, then I lost it. So did Heather. Actually, so did the whole front row.

As a result of my grandfather dying, and because she was with him for 60+ years, and is now by herself, which has to be traumatic, my grandmother has started wigging out, to the extent where she's threatening to cut us all from her life. So now I'm losing both my grandparents in one go. That's nice. Thanks, universe.

My Belle dress for con is basically done, thanks to Diane's mom. It's not as flattering as I'd hoped, but I'm sure it will still kick ass. Plus I'm thinking of faux-hawking my hair when we steampunk. Because why the hell not?

Con is Thursday! Weeee! A priliminary scan of the schedule shows it's gonna be freaking awesome. I could sit in the movie room all weekend long and be perfectly content.

In Fandom news, I have become obsessed with BBC's Sherlock. Even though I'd already seen it. My friend Katherine and I have been writing fanfiction non-stop all week, which has helped calm me down quite a bit. It feels very good to be writing again, even if it is just smutty/fluffy fanfiction.

No, I haven't caught up on Doctor Who. No, I haven't seen the latest Primeval. No, I still haven't seen Bones.
I am, however, watching Warehouse 13, which is pretty darn awesome. (Guess what I'm doing after work? Answer: Watching more Warehouse 13 and eating apple pie, bitches.)

Thanks everyone for all the love and support over the last month. Seriously. You're the best.
Here's a really cool hair-do to celebrate PRIDE, which was this weekend, even though I didn't go.

Be yourself. Because I love you for who you are.
