WHOOHOO!! I went to the convention!! Here's my little recap...
Alright everyone, here it is my recap of my experience at the convention.
So my whole adventure starts in Drummondville at 4:17 pm Thursday after noon. I left with the rental car, that was a Chevrolet by the way ;) , to go get Natalie close to Québec city. That's a two hour drive. So I pick up Natalie and we are off to Chicago. We actually got lost in Québec, I took a wrong exit somewhere and we ended up going up north instead of going west LOL. We lost about an hour right there and I was thinking, WOW if this is how it's going to go, we won't get there any time soon! Well we finally found the right way and it took us close to 30 hours to get there. We drove all night and all day on Friday, making stops every two hours or so and at one point we had to stop because I needed to sleep, I was starting to have little blackouts. At one point we had to ask for directions because we weren't on the right interstate, the man at the store we stopped at was really nice and did give us clear directions so that was good. We finally made it to Chicago at around 8:30 pm on Friday night. So we basically missed the Q&A's with Gabriel and Richard. We got there just in time to have our autographs. Rene told us that they were waiting for us, she had already gotten the autograph from Gabriel for me and he wrote "Stephanie, missed you" and signed his name, then I got my autograph with Richard, he wrote "Stephanie, missed you more" and signed it, I told Richard about our long drive and I shook his hand and of course said thank you. Then I went back to Gabriel and told him that he didn't miss me after all and he was like "Oh cool, glad you made it" he probably said something else but I can't remember. Then we went back to the car to get our luggage, to sign in to our room and unpack. Natalie and I took the time to shower before heading downstairs to the bar. Nat and me got into the elevator and the door opened and there were these two guys wanting to get in. Nat passed them by and said sorry, I on the other hand recognized Chad so I smiled and said Hi! to him and the guy that was with him, I think he's his manager, Dakota (very cute), they both smiled at me and Chad slightly blushed and said Hi! back. That was so nice!!! Natalie loves Chad a lot and I was like, "Nat, that was Chad" and she was like "No way" LOL, we also realized that we got off on the wrong floor too. LOL We crossed paths Chad three more times after that and Natalie noticed him only once. I went outside to smoke at one point and there comes Dakota, talking on his cell phone. I tried real hard not to stare but I did smile to him. Then I looked at him again and he gave me this great big smile and I was about to put out my cigarette and I thought the ashtray was near the garbage can but it wasn't and Dakota told me where it was and the he had done the same mistake earlier. I said thanks and went back inside. After that we went to the bar at the hotel and we met some other fans and we had a great time. They had Purple Nurples that weren't purple but really tasty and they had Sam-tini's and Dean-arita's, those were really good too. Steve Carlson was there playing pool and the pool table was right beside us. We had a nice time there before we headed for our room for much needed sleep.
On Saturday, we got ready and we went to the Q&A's with Samantha Smith, Jason Manns and Charles Malik Whitfield. Then we had some time, so we went to eat at Subway and went to Target as well. We got back for the Q&A with Chad. After that, it was time for our photo op with Chad, Samantha and Malik and Rene and I went back up to the room and we were almost late for our pic. Nat was there panicking telling them that we were supposed to be there in the pic with them and we were that last ones, they actually waited for us. That was really nice. When we got in the room for the photo op, Malik looked at me and said "Where were you, we were waiting for you" I just told him that we were upstairs.
So we took the pic and then, knowing that Natalie loves Chad so much, I asked him if he wouldn't mind later on to take a picture with her. He said "well I'm not sure I can, we'll have to ask" and I was like "no not here with the photographer, but a personal pic with my own camera" he said "Oh yeah sure, later, just catch me when you see me, no problem" and I thanked him and we left. Then it was the autographs with Jason, Chad, Samantha and Malik. Jason Manns is a sweetheart and so darn cute! Everybody was really nice. Then we went to our room to try to upload my pics on Rene's laptop but it took too much time and we were so tired. We also tried to watch Thursday's episode on YouTube because Nat and me missed it, being on the road but YouTube didn't want to cooperate so we only saw a little part of it and we gave up because we were too tired and we needed to sleep to look good for meeting Jared and Jensen the next day.
Oh yeah I almost forgot, we also saw Gabe and Richard in the Lobby and I asked Gabe if he wanted to take pics with us so we did and then I noticed that Richard was there so I asked him as well and we got pics with him and hugs, so that was fun!!
Now on to Sunday... everything went so fast, I like to call it a blur. LOL
Well we got ready, made ourselves look pretty and the first thing we did was go for the Jared photo op. But before that, as we came into the Lobby, we saw Chad there. I asked him if he still agreed to take a pic with Natalie and said "oh yeah sure" I took a pic of them but it was too dark so I told him that it would be better to stand somewhere else than in front of the window. He moved to the side and I took another pic of him and Natalie, then I asked if he had time to take one with me and one with Rene and he was like "of course" Natalie took the pic of me with him and then she took the pic of Rene with him, then I thanked him and we got a hug from Chad as well. :D SQUEEEEEEE So after that, darn, how lucky are we? :dance: Well we waited in line for the photo op and the line moved really fast. Nat got in first for he Jared picture, she asked for a hug and told him that we had driven 30 hours to get there. Then I got to him and told him that I was the one who drove us 30 hours from Québec and he was surprised by that, he said "WOW you drove 30 hours from Québec to come here?" and I said yeah we did, and then he looks at Chris the photographer (very cute too) and tells him "They drove 30 hours all the way from Québec" then he looks at me puts his hand on his chest and says "WOW thanks". Then I got next to him, he was sitting on a stool, I put my arm around his shoulders and leaned in close, then he's the one who leaned in closer to put his head against mine. Can I say SQUEEEEEEEEEEE!! Then we take the pic and I pull back and I put my hand on his arm and told him that it was nice to have met him, he said it was nice to meet me and I had to leave really fast because they were rushing us. OMG, Jared is really as beautiful in person and he smelled really nice, just like clean but really nice. And his arm, muscular and I even felt a vein, yeah I did!!! SQUEEEEEEEE That was so AWESOME meeting him even if it only last like 30 seconds. I joined Natalie who was waiting for me outside the room and we were both weak in the knees and shaking and squeeing, we didn't even notice someone who said hello to us as we walked by. LOL
Then we waited for the J&J photo op. When I got in the room, I looked at Jared and said Hi! and he said Hi! back and I turned to look at Jensen and he said "Hi, how you doin'?" with his Texan accent. SQUEEEEEEE I said I was doin' great and I went to stand between them. I put my arms in their backs and Jared put his arm around my shoulder and Jensen put his arm in my back. We took the pic, I said thank you and I was rushed out of there. OMG!!! I was standing between them BOTH!!!!! SQUEEEEEEEE again LOL.
Then we waited in line to get our Jensen photo ops. I got in the room, said Hi! to Jensen and stood next to him, I put my hand in his back again and I leaned in and he leaned in too, but not as much as Jared did. But still, you know! Then I was about to leave to let Rene have her pic with him but she told me to come back right away so we could take our pic, me and Rene with Jensen right now. So I turned back around and went to stand on Jensen's other side and we took the pic and then I was, yeah you guessed it, rushed out of there, I didn't have time to tell him where I was from or anything like that. Actually, the two pics I had with Jensen took less time than the one I did with Jared. Oh yeah Jensen is just as gorgeous in person as he is on every pic we see online and he smelled nice and clean too. Can I just say again, SQUEEEEEEE!!! :D
After that we went to eat real fast, and I do mean real fast because we didn't want to miss the Q&A's with the boys. After that was done, it was time to wait for the autographs. Those went so fast as well, we couldn't even get them personalized, we could only get their signature and that's it. So I went in, gave my card to the lady next to Jensen so she would mark it to show I got my autograph, I gave her the pic I wanted to have signed, Jensen took the pic, signed it, he gave it back to me looking at me straight in the eyes, I said thank you with a smile, he smile back and I was already moving to give my card to the lady sitting next to Jared. She marked it, took my pic I wanted to have signed, gave it to Jared, he signed it, he looked at me, smiled, I said thank you, he said "you're welcome" with a great big smile and I was rushed out of there. They both took the time to look at me and smile to me, so yeah here it comes... SQUEEEEEEEEEE!!
And then just like this it was over. We met with some friends at the restaurant and had a nice dinner together, I had the Jared burger, that was on a special menu and it was pretty good. The waiter said the the guys saw the menu and the drinks named after them and that they thought it was pretty cool. He also said that Jared was really tired and that he tried to take a nap earlier, poor guys, they are so wonderful to come and do these things for us. I LOVE THEM!!!! Then we went to our rooms, we got ready for bed because we had to leave to head back home. Nat and me said good bye to Rene and we went to put our luggage in the car, we went to Target again because I needed comfy shoes for the drive home and we went to eat at a McDonald's before we left Chicago. We left at around noon and we got here in Drummondville at 7:00 am. We took a little break and I drove Natalie back to Québec, so another two hours and I still had to come back, needless to say I was more than tired.
I had a FANTASTIC time there, met a lot of nice people, finally got to meet Rene in person, that was so great!!
I MET JARED AND JENSEN AND OMG!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE *really I couldn't say that enough* LOL
Now, here are all the pics and some small videos that I took at the convention. Some of the pics are blurry but overall I'm really happy with what I got. Especially considering where we were sitting, you'll see on one of the pics, I didn't use to zoom, it will give you an idea of how far we were from the stage.
