Grandma and night-blooming Cereus at Punahou School

Dear Mother and Dad,

Last night we returned from a weekend party at Kawelo Bay which is 43 miles from where we live, nomatter whichwaywegoaroundtheisland. In other words it's just half way around the island..... We took lots of wonderful food along and spent Saturday afternoon and Sunday eating and swimming and playing ball. We certainly had a swell time and I'll never forget it as long as I live as there were 11 in the party....

I mustn't forget to tell you Cleo is going to be my aunt as she and Uncle Gaylord are going to get married June 21st which is two days before grandmother and I sail.

I wish you could be here and see all our flowering trees and shrubs for they are almost in full bloom. Even the night-blooming Cereus have bud and will be blooming within a week or so. Wednesday is a holiday and maybe we will go on a picnic.

Love to All,
Harold XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
