Haleiwa

Had a good night's sleep. Some had to sleep on the floor but there were plenty of extra mattresses so every one was comfortable. We kids got up at 530 and took a hike around the peninsula which forms one side of the bay. When we got back breakfast was almost ready. What a breakfast! and was it good! We had orange and pineapple, fried sausages and eggs, toast and cereal, coffee, milk and jam and bread. I ate 10 sausages and plenty of everything else.

Had a few sandwiches for lunch and then spent the rest of the day on the beach swimming for 5 hours. Had a swell time. Then had ham as the principal dish for supper and the party broke up at 7 o'clock and then we drove in the light of the full moon on the road that runs along the eastern side of the island. We got home at 8:30 and I was so tired I was in bed and asleep at 8:31.
