SO, I call my brother today who lives in Virginia and I tell him that he and my other brother (who also lives in VA) owe me.  I explain that since I live in Pittsburgh, I'm the one that has to take care of my parents when they need something, especially medical help and advice.  Well, as some of you know, my dad had major hemorrhoid surgery ( Read more... )

So we've had a spider slayer already, now we need a protector against mouse attacks? Wonder if push can fit that bill, too.

I love how you volunteer Push. She's probably used to Field Mice. This was an urban mouse. They are much worse. The have been known to carry guns, knives and even on occasion nunchuck. An urban mouse sports a tattoo and can often be found wearing a blue or red swatch of cloth on it's tiny head. It has been rumored that a Pittsburgh woman once smacked mouse with a broom and it stood up on it's back legs, and said (while gyrating) "Oh noooo you dit'nt...biotch." Of course, this is probably an urban legend and will probably been seen on an upcoming episode of MythBusters.

awwww... poor mouse... i mean, poor pgh!

we had one in church once - someone managed to catch it in a milkbottle, but then no one seemed to know what to do with it.

i did manage to catch a spider the other day. it was only about half as big as me (ok, about two inches across, but you know what i mean), so i was brave.

OMG @ spider THAT big! I would just DIE! Seriously!

I am dead serious about needing to learn to deal with these irrational fears. This is ridiculous. Someone at work told me that, it is probably the "act of surprise" that gets me the most. Sitting there and having a mouse crawl out from under a desk might surprise anyone...right? (The screaming hysterically is what I need to work on)

That corpse of the 50lb spider nancy had in her basement is probably still there under the bag of rock salt she threw on it and then stood frozen for a few hours making sure it didnt come back out!!!!

I am still giggling about my behavior. I can't believe I'm such a wuss with certain things. I'm sure I'll hear about it when I go back to work tomorrow.
