summer
the past three days:
- had my last crits of the year. got some good feedback. took all of my work from this year home.
- went to gameworks and kicked the asses of four gangsta ass white boys at pool.
- went downtown with maggie and stumbled across the opening of the new SAM.
- saw lichtenstein, leon golub, warhol, picasso, mark tobey, chuck close, john covert, morris graves, NAN GOLDIN, etc etc... Good job, mimi gates, i'm impressed.
- strolled down to the elliot bay cafe. stole leftovers from other peoples' plates (which i feel like might be a kind of foreshadowing for the rest of my life).
- saw KIKI SMITH at greg kucera and yeah. just wow.
- finished my 3rd year on the glorious road to my BFA.
yeah. feelin pretty good.
i have some serious plans to clean out my kitchen and go shopping for everything i will need to make delicious vegan meals all summer long. oh, and the broadway farmer's market starts up again soon. fresh fruit and veggies!
