Sweet and Savory
Haven't posted any food photos in forever. Not because I've stopped making stuff in my kitchen. In fact it's been the opposite of that, I've spent so much time baking/cooking I haven't taken any time to photograph any of it.
I'm allergic to Pistachios. Probably the first nut I found out I was allergic to, it's the one I miss the most. The color, that oily bite, the salty shells... I love everything about the Pistachio, and these Macaroons seemed to make the nut evermore decadent. I can eat about 2 before I my face starts to swell, and they're worth all the sniffling, snorting and lip biting that comes with them.
I didn't get the chance to shoot the final product, as the majority of it was to be shipped no more than a half hour after it came out the oven.... but this Focaccia was out of this world! Accented with fresh mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, and drenched in a completely ethereal herb-oil... this ranks as one of the best things to come out of my oven.
