In late August or early September (I forget! and can't find any of the messages used to organise it!), I went for a day walk with Susan, Jen and Jen's friend Pam around Puffing Billy territory. Here are some birds checking me out, as I check them out.
I didn't write about cycling last December, but I did an overnight stay with Sarah at Kate's house and we went on two day trips, one on the O'Keefe Rail Trail to Axedale (about 20km one way). It was a bit rougher than other ones I have done.
Pictures.
(still awesome at bike selfies)
And here is a picture from the LCA 2014 running BoF :)
Finally I have been doing a bit of picnic-ing this summer and it has been delightful. This is from Di's birthday picnic in December.
I had a games night for NYE (I gave Di Settlers of Catan for birthday/Christmas and gave myself Carcassonne). Have since discovered Carcassonne is even better two player. And yesterday, for the Australia Day long weekend, I organised a picnic in the Botanic Gardens. It was so lovely. Played Carcassonne, some of Munchkin, Pandemic and Ticket to Ride. There was also some Bananagrams taking place. TTR with five people was really good! And Pandemic was the first co-operative strategy game I have played, which was really interesting.
We played until around 6 or maybe later, by which time a new crowd of people was arriving for the moonlight cinema or Wind in the Willows performance. Everyone walking past had a good gawk at us, probably because by that time the game was looking very involved and we were all deep into it. One little boy couldn't resist wandering up for a closer look at the sight of trains.
