Tonight is the where the fuck is it part 2 party, which all of you know by now. i am excited.
today i had to get up at like 730 so that i could go to the new
apartment and SIT THERE for 4 hours because the electricity guys were
coming. shannon came at around 12, and brought mcdonalds, and we sat on
the patio and chatted for a while. i really <3 my patio so much.
then i left and called ryan, how was printing up the lists of shit to
find. we met up and ran a few errands to prepare. now i am pretty much
killing time until celina (and dan) get here. then its time for ryan
and i to hide the shit, and then the party will begin!!!
the rest of the weekend will pretty much be me writing and studying and packing. time is seriously running out. ridiculous.
i changed my lj layout. i need to change my lj icon, but i dont have
the patience to make a pic that size. so if someone wants to make one
for me, that would be awesome. spank you.
as some of you also know, i have been listening to iron and wine a lot
lately. there is this one song that i really like, and i think the lyrics are
amazing (and a little sappy but you still gotta appreciate)
run like a race for family
when you hear like you're alone
the rusty gears of morning
and faceless, busy phones
we gladly run in circles
but the shape we meant to make is gone
and love is a tired symphony
you hum when you're awake
and love is a crying baby
mama warned you not to shake
and love's the best sensation
hiding in the lion's mane
so i'll clear the road, the gravel
and the thornbush in your path
that burns a scented oil
that i'll drip into your bath
the water's there to warm you
and the earth is warmer when you laugh
and love is the scene i render
when you catch me wide awake
and love is the dream you enter
though i shake & shake & shake you
and love's the best endeavor
waiting in the lion's mane
