Might as well creat the appearance that I use this thing, so here's a short pseudo-update and a boring meme.

Not being in school seems to have lead me to become an X-phile (appearantly that's what they call X-Files fans), and that leads to shit hours on Monday and Tuesday, the days on which TNT runs 12-4 or 12-6 X-Files blocks. I only stay up til 4 because I like atleast having some semblance of a normal pattern of sleep and wake, but I really need to kick this shit and get myself a job until school's back. Perfect timing too, since they're showing the Doggett episodes now, and appearantly Doggett and Scully are not Mulder and Scully.

Also, though no one seemed to see it necessary to alert me, friggin' Lara Croft is back and not sucking air in through a gaping hole in the front of her game. Seriously, all of a sudden, out of the blue, the game is coming out, then it's already out, and now I have a demo of it and two magazines telling me it's atleast an 80% game. It's unlikely the new game will be anything like the first two, which were Top 100 quality (Tomb Raider 1 for how well it did 3d action and exploring and Tomb Raider 2 for how it took everything done in 1 and improved it by leaps and bounds and other measures of awesome), but maybe it's some signal that the days ahead are going to be known for the resurrection of franchises that had previously turned to mediocre shit but now are risen as phoenixes of legend. I mean, Resident Evil 4, Tomb Raider Legend (appearantly), what's next? SplatterHouse 4? EarthWorm Jim 4 (yeah, appearantly they released 3d, but I'll be damned if I knew about that either)? Tony Hawk 4000? I'll be damned if I know, since appearantly no one does an actual preview section these days, but here's hoping.

And oh yeah, the concrete swan dive is still the guiltiest pleasure in gaming (if you've ever played a Tomb Raider game, you'll understand). She friggin' lands like a sack full of rocks and I love it every time.

Now for a meme that isn't about me:
Go to wikipedia and look up your birth day (excluding the year). List three neat events, two births and one death in your journal, including the year.

Events
-1098 - First Crusade: Massacre of Ma'arrat al-Numan - Crusaders breach the town's walls and massacre about 20,000 inhabitants. After finding themselves with insufficient food, they resort to cannibalism. (Wow, sounds uplifting)
-1963 - Kenya gains its independence from the United Kingdom.
-1990 - Pakistan became the 37th country in the world to send an expedition to Antarctica. (You go Pakistan)

Births
1805 - William Lloyd Garrison, American abolitionist (d. 1879)
1943 - Dickey Betts, American guitarist and singer (The Allman Brothers) (::air guitars::)

Death
1999 - Joseph Heller, American author (b. 1923) (Ah, damn, way to end on a downer stupid survey)

Damn, really? Yossarian died on my birthday? Lame.
