Completism

Tonight I have completed my Girlfrendo collection, unless the Royal Mail loses my post, with a double 7" win on ebay. I'm pretty happy about that, also very happy to find a Catskills track on a Kindercore compilation on Emusic, and also news about Love Is All having a new CD coming out next year in the USA.

Also I noticed that the prices for Sarah records on Ebay have really gone down. I guess nobody cares now that you can download all the singles and albums directly off filesharing networks, still it's a bit of a shame that people have either dismissed all this stuff as no good, or don't really care about getting their hands on the physical copies now that they have their mp3s.

I have a fantasy about doing a 10" filled with unreleased songs from now defunct indiepop bands. I can think of 2 fabulous tracks already, one by Marine Research and one by the Screen Prints, and Pam told me once that she knew she had old songs sitting somewhere. Who else could I ask? How much money would I have to put up to make it?
