Half-Wit

Hey, it wasn't THAT bad. OK, the Hameron (I'm using the portmanteau because it's appropriately hilarious) kiss was, just, no. It burned my eyes. GTFO. And the scene where he bitched at Wilson (by which I mean the last one, because that could be pretty much any scene), I was not happy about. Piss off, House, stop this before I finally decide that he ( Read more... )

"If on a Winter's Night a Traveller" looks AWESOME. I will have to check that shit out.

I enjoyed Half-Wit a lot even though House was a bitch to everyone, including poor Wilson. Maybe mostly because I got to vicariously touch Cuddy's ass. Yeah, I'm down with the feminism. Also, Chase was hella cute.

I love how the camera panned down so that the shot included her arse as she walked out of the hallway, and for no other reason whatsoever.

I have a serious crush on Cuddy, but so does my dad, so it's weird. I try not to encourage it.

I still think TBTB have no fucking clue what to do with Wilson. There are a few writers (Doris Egan comes to mind) who do, but by and large, I think they must just pull his actions out of a hat. *sigh* And I love how he always vanishes whenever House goes through anything traumatic that a best friend would generally be freaked out over.

Let's be really generous to the writers, and pretend that it's because Wilson retreats into himself when he has a problem. Even though it's actually because they're trying to run from the gay. You can't run from the gay!

Wilson retreats into himself when he has a problem. I can buy that. Only I can't help but think Wilson would be all "FREAKED OUT!" if House got hurt or whatever, but maybe he knows it would just piss House off (which seems unlikely, 'cause I'm sure House would enjoy the attention). But regarding the events of S3, maybe Wilson isn't sure if House wants him around, so he tries to deal with things himself. *is overthinking things*

Were not those Piano-gasms just the best thing EVER!!! And I feel that the horror of the kiss was off-set by the cuteness of the Hug! But I will say the ending and the H/W lackthereofness was not a good thing.

A dark, dark part of my mind was shipping House/Patrick during that scene. I can't believe I just admitted that.

AFTER he'd been treated, and IF his brain function increased. Honestly.

The kiss was... I'd seen clips of it, but somehow it was even worse in the context. The hug, though? Gorgeous.

Well that would be a doozy for the minor character/guest star ficathon, so please keep it in mind.

I love how, whenever I say anything as crazy as that, I'm encouraged instead of shunned. It makes me feel like less of a pervert.

"One small feel for man, one giant ass for mankind."

This is one of my fave eps of House ever. Little touches like Hugh Laurie in the yearbook suddenly, jarringly, looking like something from "Blackadder" or "A Bit of Fry & Laurie" - when I was so completely immersed in the fiction of his being American.

Oh, yes, the yearbook - that was an odd moment. I suppose, for the majority of the audience, it wouldn't have been an issue, but it definitely startled me.

The House/Cuddy scene was an absolute delight. I loved about two thirds of the episode, but then there were a few things that made me hide behind the sofa. Figuratively.

I find it incredibly difficult to unite my mental image of House with my mental image of, say, Prince George. I suppose it just goes to show how versatile Hugh is.
