I'm sure everybody who would be interested in it has seen
this by now; since it turns out I can't comment on the post itself I will post my response here. I am just c&p-ing it so it might be a bit out of context and incoherent, but whatever, I am sleepy.
Not only was Lydia female!Wilson, I think Stacy was too, to an extent. Tall brunette with brown eyes, similar sense of humour, challenges House but at the same time finds herself sacrificing things for his sake... this is not to diminish Stacy's importance in House's life at all; in the same way, Amber was hugely significant in Wilson's life above and beyond being similar to House. But I do think those parallels can be drawn. ALSO, in No Reason, Wilson and Cuddy (in House's fantasy) go behind House's back to perform a medical procedure supposedly for his benefit. In Three Stories, Stacy and Cuddy (in House's retelling of events) go behind House's back to... etc etc. I find this very interesting.
