UGLY UGLY TEARS BECAuSE YOU UNDERSTAND ME. And, I mean, isn't Bill Forbes a really nice introduction to this? He behaved monstrously by holding his own daughter captive, torturing her because he didn't understand her. I think ultimately, he earned his humanity back from that horrible act by giving Caroline that closure, by seeing for himself that it's not what you are, but who you are that makes you a monster. From there, it was his choice to make to die a human death, or live as long as he could as a vampire. I love that his choice wasn't about Caroline, it wasn't about rejecting what she is, but accepting who she is completely, and asking her to accept who he is and let him go.
I want this whodunnit to be human so bad I can taste it. Part of me worries that it'll be something stupid like, Klaus compelling Tyler or whatever, but that is so dumb and ultimately pointless because why does Klaus have to

Maybe? Probably not. Even if they started out with genetically identical prints, they have both lived through different circumstances (Kathy when she was alive anyhow) which probably resulted in different scarring, tissue damage, etc.
maybe i'm just inferring here, but beneath their shock and awe and confusion, there is almost relief. Because all that hate must be a burden, so much baggage. What a weight lifted, because mother said so.
