Priorities
U.S. Soldier Shoots Tiger at Baghdad Zoo receives more attention and aghast criticism, everything from "that poor creature" to "we aren't respecting Iraqi culture by getting drunk", than Veiled and Worried in Baghdad, an article describing the raping, beating and murdering as commonplace in Iraq now that there is no civil order.
"We don't do women." - Iraq's Ministry of the Interior, clearly communicating that there will not be any police protection for women in Iraq.
But god forbid an animal die.
I'd like to add that the best retort I've gotten, yet, came from a friend of mine. "Are women an endangered species?"
Oh, must be okay then. Nevermind.
