Together Again
peters_dad arrived in Texas safe and sound last night. He, Shawn and Travis left Boston Thursday night and arrived in Pennsylvania in the wee hours Friday morning. After about four hours of sleep Shawn drove
peters_dad, Samuel, Jennifer, Gwenevere and Abigail to the Baltimore airport. Samuel and his family flew to California and arrived about 9:30 California time.
peters_dad had a long wait (4 + hours) in the airport as his flight wasn't scheduled to leave until 6 o'clock Eastern time. Because of the holiday he couldn't get a seat on any of the earlier flights so he read until time for his flight. My mother fussed abut him having to spend so much time hanging out at the airport until I pointed out he was inside, he was warm, he was dry, no one was telling him he had an extra job to do, he was by himself and he had a book to read--life was good!
For those of you keeping track he started out in Boston, Massachusetts, drove through Conneticut, New York and New Jersey to get home to Pennsylvania. He then drove to Maryland to fly to Texas. Seven states in less than 24 hours.
