In the garden, it's been two weeks since we put the cold weather plants into the ground.Things are sprouting in the pea and lettuce beds. The transplanting didn't go as well as we hoped; we are pretty sure much of it froze. We've been getting good rain and sunny days, so some of the kale has survived. The indoor starts are doing well; almost time to move the tomato plants into larger containers.
Yesterday, I attended the Milwaukee County Genealogical Society's biannual conference. I learned a lot and it was nice talking to fellow researchers. The most important aspect I took away, was that very little of existing records have been digitized but so many beginning family history researchers look online. I certainly have been guilty of that, so I've started lists of articles etc that I want to obtain to see if mention is made of kin or that will illustrate the life they led.
Leah's working, but we'll go to church together later this morning. Today we're making a day-trip to Oshkosh to hear Sarah Kind give a saxophone recital where she is a faculty member.
