I'm going to Italy tomorrow? What are you doing?
Classes, eh? Work? Maybe happy hour at 5pm? Frat party? Maybe some Ultimate on the Quadrangle with your friend's golden retriever, named CHERNOBYL McFARTYPANTS?
So I saw STOMP the other night. It was great. Here's some jargon: polyrhythm. For everyone who does NOT play bass in my band, these guys knew their stuff. Makes me feel slightly vindicated for all those times I compulsively banged on my desk or the dinner table. Sorry, Betsy.
I went to Samuel Johnson's house today. He wrote a dictionary. This is supposed to be interesting? Sure, after 3 pints of Stella Artois maybe.
Judd and Maggie got a record deal with RCA/Victor. I guess it is too late to ask Maggie out for a date now. I saw them over the summer with Christian, Dith Pran, and some other less important people. Just the duet. It was sweet. I don't know how they did it, but they got even better. I can't wait to hear their record.
So I'm leaving tomorrow for Italy. Me and some pals are going to Gatwick, hopping a plane to Pisa for the afternoon then Florence at night. We're spending 3 nights there, then we're going to Rome. 3 nights there. Then this beach town called Cinqueterra for 3 more. We're leaving from Milan back here on the 31st I think. I'll take lots of pictures.
And now, a little housekeeping. I know lots of people check this journal. Hi, dad. Hi, Mrs. Mackintosh. Hi, sisters. Hello, scores of other random ladies. So why is the only one who leaves a comment Colin "Contrapuntal" Holter???
