Peter raced May to the hospital, knowing that he could get her there faster by himself than even Zero would be able to if she were driving.

The doctors said that the fact that he got her there so quickly made a successful surgery even more likely.

They'd barely had a chance to register what was going on. From the living room, all that could be heard was hushed, tense talking, then Peter yelling May's name in alarm. Kawalsky was in there in a flash, but even still he didn't have enough time to do or say anything before Peter yelled where he was going and took May.

But they got there on their own, at least. Trying to find Peter in the hospital took almost as long as the drive here. "Peter?"

May was stable, but Peter was still a bit freaked out. He did take the time to change into less messed up clothes, though, so he didn't smell as bad.

Isabel hated hospitals with a passion. But for Peter's sake, she pushed that aside. "Can I get you anything? A drink? Something to eat?"

Honestly, he probably did need something, but he wasn't concerned with that at the moment. "Hey. No thanks, I'm fine."
