The Day Needs More Hours, the Check Needs More Dollars

Hello Kiddies,

When someone asked me the inevitable 'How you doin?' question the other day, I made up that response on the fly without realizing how accurate it really was. The two biggest 'commodities' one has are time and money, and as anyone in business will tell you, time IS money. One inevitable thing that has come with getting older is the realization how finite all that is. I mean shit, I remember when there were what was seemingly endless resources to do whatever and even some to throw away, but that ship sailed a long time ago.

Still, all is not lost. We have enough to go around (and upon reflection a whole lot more than most people) so we soldier on.

September has been uncharacteristically quiet which was a welcome relief since August was so ridiculously busy. There's events coming up on the horizon, so we'll be back to the crazy in no time. A few highlights have been the respective end of Summer feasts of Santa Rosalia and San Gennaro. The TES Elections, which were a staple of our Septembers, now will take place in October, and as this year's race is uncontested, will not really be of any consequence. Personally speaking I don't have anywhere near the level of investment in the politics and governance of TES these days. One of many priorities that have shifted due to time and resources. There's more stuff to ponder on, but we'll take our leave at the moment. Don't forget you can see more at my picture blog: http://instagram.com/petemosq
