Hello Kiddies,
Life sails merrily along in the HSB, with a mix of good, bad, indifferent, and oh fuck you. Well the best part of the emotional roller coaster is the dips right? We get an extra day tomorrow and I'm not sure how I'll spend it, but I'll leap into something fun hopefully. Now here's some mindless minutiae from the far corners of the internet that only I can give you.
One of our favorite music blogs gives us
Artist Management according to Flo and Eddie.
Our favorite Rock & Roll Diva, the divine Ms. Hale
puts on her 'guy side.'. No there's absolutely no innuendo there, uh uh.
The Buffy remake in the works sans creator Joss Whedon
has the original cast up in arms.
If you are a cosplayer or into that sort of thing, here's
a wonderful latex Batgirl costume.
Twitter fucking rocks. In addition to my real friends, favorite wrestlers, rock stars, sex activists and all of Bob Marley's children, I now have Suicide Girls, Playboy Models, and The Iron Sheik on my follow list. The spambots love me too.
One of my relatives, who slightly leans to the Right, has become disgusted with the Republican candidates. Her exact words were 'What are they running for? Fucking priest? The Pope's job is already taken!' I'm not quite so disillusioned. When the election rolls around, I'll simply vote for whoever the Libertarian candidate is and then congratulate President Obama on his second term. :)
While we are on the subject, many people assume I am a Republican. That's absolutely not true. I'm going to come clean about my affiliation right now. I belong to the
New York State Conservative Party. I always have. The NYSCP exists for two reasons: Lowering taxes, and pissing off the New York State Republican Party. Both goals I can admire greatly. One of these days a NYSCP Candidate may actually win. You'll know when that happens when you see the pigs flying.
Somebody at NBC raided my mind because all my favorite people are on
this season of The Celebrity Apprentice. Penn Jilette, Dee Snider (who gets today's icon, just because), The Hulk, Arsenio, and SULU!
Apparently there was an awards show recently where someone called 'The Artist' won. I honestly never thought 'Purple Rain' was all that good.
Finally, I've been on a real Dread kick lately. I got Classic Cd's from Black Uhuru and Bunny Wailer, and a few of my favorite Jamaican films that have been on my wish list for a while. The iTunes Reggae store is somewhat decent, if not fantastic. I was thinking back when I first got into reggae as a teenager, and how bizarre that time was. I may have to write about it someday. On that note here's today's video. Whatcha Gwan do Yardie!
