Hello Kiddies,
Anyone who can guess where the lyric in our subject line comes from without Googling it gets a cookie. :) So where were we? Oh yes.
The Oscars were boring, the Unions are striking, the Libyans are thinking, the fans are marking, Lindsay Lohan is stripping?? (please!), the world spins outside my door yet I care damn little.
February decided to exit the HSB in a wash of primordial drippiness during a busier-than-normal working Monday. Oddly enough, this didn't really dampen my spirits all that much. Work was done relatively quickly and then I went on walk about to catch up with some of the world. I went to visit Roberto at his newly acquired comic shop in the home of the former Cosmic Comics. The very building in which a then-little-known New York rock band had their first rehearsal space. We caught up and agreed that it had been indeed too long and promised to get together soon. Life has had it's way with us both. I meandered home stopping in a few places with heavy thoughts on my mind and grateful for them. I'm getting better at separating the signal from the noise, and the clarity was welcome.
A major opportunity/life decision may have dropped on my lap today out of nowhere and if it comes to pass things will be VERY different VERY quickly. I'll enjoy today's peace while I ponder.
2/11 you have tested me, but at the end of it all, you will go, and me? I'm still here. I'll leave you folks with a recent musical discovery that's been quite comforting indeed.
